I wanted to express a festive and cheerful spring atmosphere with these cute flowers.
It's a shame that my digit camera can't capture the delicate shades of the white flowers, though.

I painted this in July, 2009

I hate it when digital cameras screw up the lighting and colors on artworks. But this still looks really good. :D

Again, envy on the technique. Really like the color bleeds in the green here, and the piece as a whole is lovely.

*chuckles*

You realize, by looking at your various pieces and experimenting, I'm actually learning quite a bit about watercolors. Thank-you!

Hmm. I seem to have reasonable color luck with the Brother MFC-6490CW 11x16.75 inch format printer/scanner, and with the larger deck it can handle a many more paintings than most.

It seems to go off just a touch in the green-to-blue, but it nails light color differentiation, and is reasonably inexpensive, especially as the box stores sometimes run sales on the line.

I've had a lot better luck with color on it than either with my camera (nikon D50) or any of the various other scanners I've used, including some high end professional scanners.
