Artist's Comments

We learned how to create splashing scene. I scratched the paper with knife and it worked very well.

I painted this in October, 2007

the ater effect is very well done and realistic. Have you ever tried to use masking fluid instead of scratching with a knife? Masking fluid is very useful to keep white zones and it doesn't hurt the paper :)

Lovely painting. The color washes of the background add depth of field to the picture, focuing on the fountain with water :)

I like the washes in the background, they give more depth of field to the painting, focusing the eye to the fountain. Great! :)
